Rev Edward Rudolf

Rev Edward Rudolf, founder of The Children's Society. He started work as an office boy at the age of 13, and had to work hard to support his family. In 1871 he became a Civil Servant, and ran classes for young men. He studied part time to become a church minister. In 1881 he founded the Waifs and Strays Society, which in 1946 was renamed The Children's Society
