Bone wire puller, Antonin Hrbek
MAY 17, 1965 - For more than two years now, the cooperation between the Socialist Labour Brigade of the Smeral Works in Brno and the surgeons and doctors of the Traumatology Institute in Brno has been successfully developing. For their needs, the Socialist Labour Brigade, at the suggestion of its member Borivoj Volny, made, for example, a special wire puller for insertion into long bones. While it used to take an hour or more to pull the wires out of the bone, this operation has been shortened to 25 seconds with the help of the device. A view of the special device, which fits onto an electric drill, eases the doctors arduous work and shortens the operation, May 17, 1966. Head of the instrument room Antonin Hrbek.
