The first place in the ninth annual competition For the best border crossing in the Czechoslovakia, the results of which were announced at the end of January, belongs to the collective of customs and passport service employees in Hate in the Znojmo region. Annually, this border crossing handles 200 000 passengers and almost 100 000 vehicles of all kinds. Last year, over 800 workers from 19 collectives took part in the competition, the main objective of which is the exemplary performance of tasks arising from the demanding service at the state border and the aesthetic design of border crossings.
