Conscript, conscription, measurement, basic military service
OCTOBER 20, 1970 - Throughout our country, new conscripts born in 1952 and earlier have begun to be drafted. Also the conscription rooms in the People's House in Pilsen at Karlova Street were alive with the bustle of this event from 7 October 1970. When assigning conscripts to the various types of troops, the conscription committees take into account not only their state of health, but also their physical readiness, physical fitness and proficiency in the civilian profession. Necessary weighing, measurement of body height, chest and head circumference, and blood pressure tests are important matters of conscription.
