Czechoslovakia 1948. Thousands of Greek children
Czechoslovakia 1948. Thousands of Greek children are brought here by many transports and accompanied only by handful of Greek and Macedonian nurses. They were put on trains to accepting countries to escape the civil war in Greece. Upon arrival they were placed in processing camps. The fact that the Greeks found refuge in Czechoslovakia went well with the Communist propaganda which right away started to proclaim: We saved Greek children. CTK Vintage Photo
