Friendship Train to the USSR, passenger car, carriage
APRIL 16, 1970 - To the USSR by the train of friendship. A 300-strong group of officials and members of children's and youth organisations of the South Moravian Region travelled to the Soviet Union on 14 April from Brno on a special train. The themed trip, organised on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V. I. Lenin, will last 14 days. Young people from South Moravia will stop in Kiev, Moscow and Leningrad and get to know the places that are directly connected with Lenin's life. They will visit the Lenin Mausoleum in Moscow, attend meetings with Soviet youth and see the most important cultural monuments. They will lay wreaths and bouquets at the memorial to the victims of heroic Leningrad at Piskarevsky Cemetery. Participants of the Friendship Train leave from Brno railway station.
