Jan Zajic - ambulance - Wenceslas Square

Czech university student Jan Palach set himself on fire in Wenceslas Square in Prague on January 16, 1969, as a political protest against the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia. Another student Jan Zajic burned himself to death in the same place on February 25, 1969. Ambulance carry the body of Jan Zajic from the spot where he burned himself to death. CTK Photo/Josef Nosek
