Kamyk dam - concrete - rebar

Gigantic construction of Kamyk dam. Francis turbine was installed in hydro - electric plant inside the dam. This highly efficent turbine was invented by James B. Francis and Uriah Boyden in Lowel, Massachusetts in 1848 and is used up to this day, for instance, in Three Gorge dam.. Orlik, Czechoslovakia 1960. (CTK Photo / Bedrich Krejci)
