JULY 16, 1971 - On 16 July 1971, a five-member delegation of the CPSU, led by G. Fedorovich Sizov, chairman of the Central Revision Commission of the CPSU, arrived in Ostrava. In the morning, the Soviet guests visited the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Czechoslovakia, where they were received by the head secretary Miroslav Mamula, and in the afternoon they visited the Trinec Ironworks of the VRSR (Great October Socialist Revolution). Miroslav Mamula, the leading secretary of the Communist Party of the Czechoslovak Communist Party in Ostrava, acquainted the members of the Soviet party delegation with the problems of the North Moravian Region and in particular with its industrial area.
