FEBRUARY 2, 1965 - Modeta fashion 1965. More than 300 types and patterns of pullovers, vests, sweaters, knitted women's dresses and other products are included in the Modeta knitting collection for this year. In addition to products made of wool and other natural fibres, there are more sweaters and vests made of chemical fibres. Leacrylic - a new type of synthetic fibre (polyacrylonitrile) is almost indistinguishable from wool, it warms just as well, but is lighter, airier, does not stretch, does not pilling and is easy to wash. Leacrylic products are well represented in the collection. Cotton machines - a technical innovation at Modeta - bring considerable savings in labour and material. They knit goods that can be torn apart and the material reused. The pieces are self-retaining, preventing the formation of scraps and saving material. The Manka and Brunel pullovers are also goods of exceptional quality. These products are intended only for five department stores in Prague, Ostrava and Bratislava. (CTK Photo/Emil Bican)
