FEBRUARY 2, 1965 - Modeta fashion 1965. More than 300 types and patterns of pullovers, vests, sweaters, knitted women's dresses and other products are included in the Modeta knitting collection for this year. Leacrylic - a new type of synthetic fibre (polyacrylonitrile) is almost indistinguishable from wool, it warms just as well, but is lighter, airier, does not stretch, does not pilling and is easy to wash. Leacrylic products are well represented in the collection. Cotton machines - a technical innovation at Modeta - bring considerable savings in labour and material. They knit goods that can be torn apart and the material reused. The pieces are self-retaining, preventing the formation of scraps and saving material.
