JULY 30, 1971 - Hot summer days have lured thousands of our workers to refresh themselves by the water, one of the most visited areas being one of our largest dams in Orava, Slovakia, on July 30, 1971. Thousands of holidaymakers and their families from all over the country spend their holidays here in several camping sites, cottages and hotels. Especially on Saturdays and Sundays, thousands more motorised and hikers from the surrounding area come here to refresh themselves in the cool water. For the convenience of holidaymakers, there are several large motor boats and steamers on the Orava Dam, which take them around one of our largest reservoirs. (CTK Photo/Venek Svorcik)
