Prague - Czechoslovakia - anniversary - Pioneer 1959
Shool children were obligated to become members of the Communist youth organization called Pioneer and had to wear Pioneer uniforms during holidays and official celebrations. Pioneer was an organization for children from 3rd through 9th grade. Older aged students took membership in Union of Socialist Youth. Communist Party memebrship was offered to the most dedicated and faithful citizens from age 18.On this photo Pioneers welcome Bulgarian delegation headed by Todor Zivkov. Prague, Czechoslovakia 1959.
