ARCHIVE PHOTO from February, 21, 1948. Klement Gottwald, Chairman of the Czechoslovak Communist Party (KSC) and Czechoslovak Prime Minister during his speach from Kinsky Palace balcony, Prague Old Town Square (Staromestske namesti), on February 1948. Left in the background is Czechoslovak Foreign Minister Vlado Clementis (later sentenced in Slansky process) and photographer Karel Hajek. However, Rudolf Slansky, with the help of retouching, later disappeared from this photograph. This phenomenon of disappearing people was also introduced according to Soviet model.
