Prague - may 1945 - destroyed astronomical clock
Prague, May 1945. The liberartion of Prague by the Vlasov Army began on May 6 against the last enclaves of German resistance. This successful battle was long denied by Soviet historians who claimed that only Red Army was the liberator. General Vlasov and his soldiers then surrendered to the Allies in the west and some were turned back to the Russians. Alledgedly they all perished.
