President Klement Gottwald
Czechoslovakia. After Communist putsch in February 1948, Klement Gottwald becomes the Prime Minister and on June 14th 1948 he becomes President of Czechoslovakia. On this photo Gottwlad speaks to his confidents Antonin Zapotocky and Gustav Husak. Husak continued his Communist career after 1968 when he bacame the First secretary of the Communist Party and began the Normalization process which was nothing less than terrorizing the citizens, abolishing freedom of press and sending hundreds of people to prisons.
