Rudolf Slansky was born in 1901, his origin was jewish, his whole family was killed in concentration camps. Rudolf Slansky survived WWII in Moscow, his brother Richard survived in London. Rudolf's daughter Nadezda was kidnapped in Moscow in year 1943, he has never seen her again. After WWII in 1946 he became secretary-general of the communist party, he stayed in this function untill 1951. By the end of 1951 within the communist party started a big trial against so-called enemies within the party. Rudolf Slansky was named as a main character of the conspiracy. The whole campaign was distinctively Anti-semitic. Slansky was arrested on November 23, 1951, after several hearings he attempted in the prison to commit suicide. Carefully fabricated trial against seditious conspiracy started on November 20, 1952 and after one-week proceedings the judge pronounced a verdict. Rudolf Slansky was one amongst 11 people sentenced to death, he was executed on December 3, 1952. Rudolf Slansky is seen in front of the senate by the State court in Prague on November 1, 1952
