Slovakia - Zlate Moravce 1947. Slovak citizens cordially welcome the Czechoslovak President and the First Lady Hana Benesova upon their arrival to Zlate Moravce. Less than five month later Benes resigned amid Communist putsch. The totalitarian system replaced fragile democracy and lasted over 40 years bringing Czechoslovakia to the brink of economic collapse and it citizens to despair. Benes died on September 3rd 1948.
