Thor Heyerdahl - Kon Tiki - Easter Island - Ra
Norwegian explorer, anthropologist and ethnographer Thor Heyerdhal, best known for his Kon-Tiki expedition which proved that Incas could travel on balsa wood barges all the way to Polynesia. His trip on Kon-Tiki took 4, 300 miles from South America to the islands of Tuamotu. Heyerdahl also explored Rapa Nui (Easter Island) during several expeditions. Prague, Czechoslovakia, 1964.
