Runner Josef Odlozil carries her wife Vera Caslavska at Pragues airport upon their arrival from the 1968 summer Olympics in Mexico City, October 29, 1968. Shortly after the Warsaw Pact invasion of her country, Caslavska defeated her Russian rivals and with six olympic medals became a national hero and sports gymnastics legend.
