Qashqai Nomads, Shiraz, Iran
Qashqai (also Ghashghai, Kashkai, Qashqay and Qashqa'i) are Iran's largest group of nomadic pastoralist people primarily living in the provinces of Fars, Khuzestan and southern Isfahan, especially around the city of Shiraz in Fars, as depicted in this photograph. The full skirts of the women are in very bright colours and topped by gauzy veils and scarfs, often gold and silver
