10th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

GDR-migrants shed tears of joy as they arrive at the railway station in Hof, Germany, 05 October 1989. Prior to that the migrants had spent weeks at the German Ambassy in Prague, where they had waited to enter the Federal Republic of Germany. The people searched for freedom away from Honecker and his GDR-state. Shortly after that, the regime of SED (Socialist Unity Party of Germany) collapses. After 28 years, GDR opens its borders on 09 Nobember 1989
