Gravestone erected by J Bruce Ismay in memory of Ernest Edward Samuel Freeman at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery in Halifax, Canada. Halifax, a port city located on the eastern coast of Canada, has an intricate connection between the unsinkable luxury ocean liner of the White Star Line, the RMS Titanic. The initial search and rescue efforts for survivors were launched from Halifax, first 2 boats were sent from here - Mackay-Bennett and Minia, recovered 323 bodies. Today, there are 150 Titanic victims buried in Halifax, in the Fairview Lawn, Mount Olivet and Baron de Hirch cemeteries
