Air crash in Munich - Manchester United badly hit
Injured Bobby Charlton lies in his bed in hospital in Munich (undated picture from February 1958). Shortly after the departure in Munich, the British airplane Type BEA-Elizabethan with forty-four passengers on board crashed into a house and broke in two on the 7th of February in 1958. Twenty-one people died, amongst them eleven members of the British soccer club Manchester United
