Alfred Graf von Schlieffen
Prussian general field marshal Alfred Graf von Schlieffen in a contemporary picture. He developed the Schlieffenplan in 1905, which provided the rapid destruction of the French armed forces in the case of a two front war and afterwards the fight against Russia in the East. Alfred Graf von Schlieffen was born on the 28th of February in 1833 in Berlin and died there on the 4th of January in 1913
