In Frankfurt on the Main on 2 March 1949, an American officer (centre) refuses entrance to a building of the Soviet commission of repatriation to an officer of the Soviet military mission in Frankfurt (right). Put under pressure by US armed forces, the commission had to leave its residence in the Holzhausen district of Frankfurt and move towards the Soviet occupation zone
