Wilhelm Boger (here in the court room, 1964) was accused of tormenting the prisoners in Auschwitz concentration camp with medieval torture practices. The trial against 22 former guards of the Auschwitz concentration camp was opened on 20 December 1963 at the plenar hall of the Frankfurt city council presidium
