A late but all the more warm thank you for Gail Halvorsen: the airlift veteran, who became famous as the Candy Bomber, is welcomed by Mercedes Wild (r) and Johanna Hoppe with a kiss, on 11 May 1998, in front of a Raisin Bomber type Douglas C-54, at Berlin-Tempelhof airport.
