British birthday parade in honour of Queen in Berlin 1960
A parade of the British garrison in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.'s birthday takes place on the 9th of June in 1960 on Maifeld in front of the Olympia Stadium in Berlin. Many honorary guests came, amongst them all four town majors, the ruling mayor of Berlin Willy Brandt and Federal minister Ernst Lemmer. As the Royal flag was hoisted (see picture), all guests got up in honour of the Queen, who was not present in person
