British military traditions in Germany

Welsh Captain Peter Daivds (r) from the Welsh Guards of the British Army in Germany has burnt a leek stalk following an old tradition during a ceremony in the Wavell barracks in Berlin on the 1st of March in 1978. Welsh people traditionally carry leek on their clothes to honour their patron on St. David's Day after visiting the church service.
