British soldiers cycle from Berlin to Rome

British town major of Berlin, Rohan Delacombe, says goodbye to 16 British soldiers on the 11th of October in 1959, who want to cycle from Berlin to Rome. They want to include the route of 1, 600 kilometres into their venture training and plan to cover the distance in 14 days. They are not allowed to sleep in a hotel, but to use only forests and accomodations which they find on their way
