US commanders welcome troop transport in Berlin
The US commanders (l-r) Colonel Dickerson, Major General Polk, and General Hartel at the allied checkpoint Dreilinden on 3rd January 1963. Dickerson and his convoy, coming from the FGR, had to drive through the Soviet zone to relieve the US troops already stationed in Berlin. The journey proceeded without any problems
