Destroyed North Sea island Heligoland
Northwest peak of the island. Picture taken 1952. On March 1st, 1952 the island Heligoland was returned to german hands, after the British Airforced used it for bombardment training 6 years long. The island was appointed restricted area and training areal for the RAF (Royal Air Force). At the day of returning, the reconstruction started immediately. It will take a couple of years
