French sovereign territory in Germany
Two visitors stand in front of a bust of the French marshal Turenne in Sasbach at the bottom of the Black Forest. The Avenue de Monument du Marschall Turenne, an about 200 metres long way to the commemorative obelisk of the marshal, is an officially French sovereign territory. Napoleon had annexed the 1, 6 ha of the Southwest German area in 1803
