Since the end of the second world war the harbor of Helgoland did not receive as many ships as on the 1st March 1952, when the island was committed back to Germany by the British government, after it became a forbidden, death zone and a bomb drill ground of the British air force after the bombardement in the second world war and a heavy blasting
