Helgoland free again

Almost all tombs on the island Helgoland are damaged. Therefore these men are laying down flowers at a simple wooden cross, which was built on behalf of all decedents on 1st March 1952. On that day the island of Helgoland was committed back to Germany by the British government, after it became a forbidden, death zone and a bomb drill ground of the British air force after the bombardement in the second world war and a heavy blasting
