Heligoland set free again
With the first guests of the festivities, the first workers come as well to start already with the clearing-up operations on 1 March 1952. This day, Heligoland was given back from the British government to Germany after having become a forbidden, dead zone and bomb training area of the British air force after a bombardment during the Second World War and an enormous explosion
