One day after head of the GDR Erich Honecker's arrival in Cuba, latest newspapers contain reports and pictures of the state reception. Picture taken on the 21st of February in 1974. Honecker visited the socialist brother nation from the 20th to the 26th of February in 1974. The convergence of Cuba and Moscow resulted in a closer contact to the GDR as well, which became Cuba's second most important economic partner in the 1980s.
