Ironclad Admiral Spee
The ironclad Graf Spee leaves the mouth of La Plata (near Montevideo, Uruguay). It is about to be repared in the harbour of Montevideo after severe damages due to a naval battle with British troops. There was only little time given for the repair by the government. Captain Langsdorff gave the order to sink the ship on the 17th of December in 1939. +++(c) dpa - Report+++
