Karl Max und Mechthilde Lichnowsky

New German ambassador in London, Prince Karl Max Lichnowsky and his wife Princess Mechthilde Lichnowsky are on their way to the German embassy in London in 1912. Writer Mechthilde Lichnowsky, being a witty and intellectual woman, contributed to the fact that the German embassy in London advanced to a meeting point for British royalty. After her husband's death in 1928, she moved to the French Riviera. She met her early love R. H. Peto, whom she had to give up at the behest of her family around 1900, again and married him in 1937. Mechthilde Lichnowsky was born on the 8th of march in 1879 in Schonburg and died on the 4th of June in 1958 in London
