Landshut hostages liberated - one terrorist survives
The only survivor of the terror command, Souhaila Andrawes, shows the victory sign while lying injured on a stretcher. The Lufthansa aircraft Landshut with more than 80 travellers on board was hijacked by four terrorists on the 13th of October in 1977 during the flight back from Mallorca to Frankfurt/Main. After an odyssee via Rome, Cyprus, Dubai and Anden, the hostages were liberated by the German elite unit GSG-9 in Mogadishu/Somalia
