Locarno Treaties - Clock
The names of the participants of the Conference of Locarno (6th to 16th of October in 1925) and the time (7.35 a.m.) of the announcement of the result are engraved on the pendulum of the clock of Locarno which was located in the conference hall of the court building in Locarno. The security pact between Belgium, Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Poland and Czechoslovakia was signed in Locarno, Italy, on the 16th of October in 1925. The treaty seemed to smooth the way for a united Europe. Due to the National Socialists foreign policy and the occupation of the demilitarised Rhineland in 1936 made the agreement a maculation
