In the context of the winter manoeuvre Golden Arrow, armoured personnel carriers of the US army cross a pontoon bridge in Oberbiel on the Lahn in Hesse on 21 January 1965. During the eight-day manoeuvre of the US armed forces more than 5.000 military vehicles came into operation
