An Arabian terrorist (r) is talking to the Minister of Interior Hans-Dietrich Genscher (3rd from left) and other officials, on 5 September 1962, at the Israli team accommodation in the Olympic village of the Munich Summer Olympics. Arabian terrorists of the group Black September had attacked the Israeli accommodation in the Olympic village, killed two Israelis and took nine hostages in the morning of 5th September. Their ultimatum: release of 200 imprisoned Palestinians and free passage with the other hostages. In the evening, the terrorists fly with their hostages in helicopters to the military airport Furstenfeldbruck. Hours later, the rescue operation fails.
