National mint publishes Kennedy medal

For the visit of US President John F. Kennedy in Germany in June 1963, Professor Albert Holl has designed a commemorative medal with the portrait of J. F. Kennedy on the front and the federal eagle and the coats of arms of Bonn, Berlin, and Frankfurt on the back. The medal is coined by the national mints in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe in different sizes in gold and silver. The medal can be obtained in all banks in the federal territory and in West Berlin (archive picture from 18 June 1963)
