Olympic Games 1972: end of hostage-taking
The end of the failed rescue operation and two detectives examine an operated helicopter of the Federa Border Police, on 7 September 1972, during the preservation of evidence at the military airport in Furstenfeldbruck. The seats show traces of blood. All nine Israeli hostages, five Arabian terrorists, and a Munich police officer lost their lives during the operation. Arabian terrorists of the group Black September had attacked the Israeli accommodation in the Olympic village, killed two Israelis and took nine hostages in the morning of 5th September. Their ultimatum: release of 200 imprisoned Palestinians and free passage with the other hostages. Two helicopters brought the terrorists and hostages to Furstenfeldbruck in the evening
