Opening of the German-German border
West Berlin's citizens try to pull down the Berlin Wall with hammers, pickaxes and their bare hands in Berlin, Germany, 10 November 1989. Millions of GDR citizens travelled to West Germany for a short visit after the partly opening of the inner German borders on the night of 09 November 1989. As a consequence, the German-German border was fully abolished. The German citizens were reunited on 03 October 1990
