Peaceful invaders of island Heligoland
Members of the peaceful invaders with the green red white flag of Heligoland, among them student Georg von Hatzfeld (2nd from left), spent their night on a boat in the harbor of Cuxhaven and come off the boat early in the morning to visit their home towns. A protest rally of the Heligolands, more than a thousand people participated, took place at Bleikantschule in Cuxhaven on 3rd January 1951. The demonstration was under protectorate of BHE. Photo: dpa
