People's Police erect barbed wire at train station Gesundbru
People's police men of the GDR erect fortifications made of barbed wire at train station Gesundbrunnen in Berlin on the 9th of November in 1961. The East German Railways had erected a water tower with the writing GDR at train station Gesundbrunnen in Berlin-Wedding on the area belonging to West Berlin. A conflict with the French army from the bordering French sector evolved. After several protests of French town majors, the water tower was removed by the authorities of East Berlin and the confrontation came to an end
