Preparation of streets for US military manoeuvre
Heavy trucks, loaded with sand, arrive in Upper Hesse to grit the wintery roads and make them drivable on the 17th of January in 1964. Later, they will serve as marche route for the roughly 25, 000 US soldiers, who will arrive in the region for the manoeuvre Winter track
